FAQ & Policies

  • When you send in an inquiry you are not guaranteed to be booked on that date until your artist confirms with you and you have sent a deposit.

  • If you are booking through the shop expect a response between 2-7 business days.

  • You are NOT officially booked until you send in a deposit, a confirmation email following a google calendar invite.

  • Please allow 2-7 business days to hear back from us. If you do not hear back from us please follow up and we will be happy to get back to you. Please do not send multiple inquiries before or after that time passes, we are getting back too many inquiries weekly and will try our best to respond ASAP. Please allow grace for us to get back to you.

  • An artist has the right to deny a tattoo or a placement. As a shop we will not force artists to do anything they are not comfortable with. Placements we will not do are face tattoos, unless under specific circumstances. Please check in with your artist during the inquiry period to make sure they are able to accommodate your tattoo and/or placement if it is in a “taboo” area.

  • Our shop does not tolerate systemic hatred, racism, anti-indigenous, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism, etc. Any tattoos related to these forms of hatred will not be done, this is non-negotiable. Hate symbols, hate speech, hate images etc will be refused. If you present a tattoo that you do not believe is hateful, or something you believe to be harmless, we are more than willing to have a moment to educate you, help you understand why it is harmful & refuse to do the tattoo. Our shop values are rooted in justice, abolition & creating a space for BIPOC artists to have a positive environment to work. Anything that compromises these values will not be tolerated.

  • We will not be tattooing anything that does not belong/align with your culture, ethnicity or racial group. We will not force artists to create or tattoo art that should only be created by people of that culture and/or background. Each artist will have their own comfort levels when it comes to cultural tattoos, please check in with them while inquiring.

  • Each artist will have a different comfort level around tattooing languages they themselves do not speak. We are open to tattooing different languages however we will not be responsible for correct spelling, typography, interpretation & meaning. It is your responsibility to have the correct translation. We will not offer free cover ups or changes if you discover your translation, typography, spelling, interpretation or meaning is inaccurate. You will have to pay for the session & we will not assume responsibility for your mistake.

  • Before you book an appointment, make sure the artist does the tattoo style you want, can do the stylization you like. Please provide as much information, reference photos etc. to help the artist create your tattoo. During your appointment the artist will show you the design and will have time allocated to make adjustments if need be. Creating art is a process and we may not always get it right on the first try, please allow the artist grace to try again. Tattoo artists are trained to conceptualize your tattoo with the integrity & longevity of the work. Our priority is to provide you with the best quality tattoo. There will be multiple opportunities for you to review the tattoo during the appointment. At any point you are allowed to revoke consent if you are not satisfied with the tattoo design. If you are unhappy with your tattoo we encourage your first step by contacting the artist directly. A possible outcome in these situations would be partial re-compensation, a free or low cost adjustment, but under no circumstances will an artist be obligated to provide a full refund (as the work has already been done).

  • Please come either on time or no more than 10 minutes early. Due to COVID we are trying to maintain the minimum amount of people in the space at a time.

  • You will never be required to remove more clothing than is absolutely necessary. We have protocol in place to ensure privacy and comfort during each appointment. Depending on the area getting tattooed you make want to wear shorts, a bikini top, tank tops, skirts, loose fitting clothing or clothing you do not mind getting dirty. You have the right to say no to refusing certain clothing to be removed. Please be aware however that we must work together to tattoo places that clothing is impeding access to. Ex: if you wanted a tattoo on your calf but you are wearing skinny jeans that cannot roll up high enough.

  • Only with permission from the original artist. However our artists are more than capable of making art inspired from other artists in our own style.

  • absolutely no returns.

Shop Etiquette

Creating a safer and inclusive space is of the utmost importance especially during our current moment where many shops and artists in the City of Toronto and the larger area are being publicly held accountable for issues of sexual harassment and assault, anti-Black and anti-Indigenous racism, homophobia, and transphobia. Our collective members have been engaging in anti-oppressive, anti-racist work, and Queer and Trans* libratory work within the industry for upwards of four years.

Our shop values respect and does not tolerate blatant disrespect of artists or our clients. We ask that you respect the shop’s COVID policy. Please respect people's pronouns, if you are not sure what they are please ask the person. Please do not try to bargain with artists during your appointment. Make sure you are not taking up space or inserting yourself into other peoples spaces during other’s appointments. Respect keeping your social distance from others especially working under COVID restrictions. 

You are welcomed to bring snacks and drinks for your appointment, so feel free to eat in the lounge area if needed.

CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

  • Rescheduling should be done through the artist that you have booked with and not through the shop. Please check in with the individual artist’s page booking highlights or website for their specific info.

  • Each individual artist has their own cancellation policy. In general please allow a 48-24hr window to cancel your appointment. In the event of an emergency please contact the artist directly and let them know. Please do not “no show” your artist. (Please see Deposit & Payment section)

  • All deposits are non-refundable no matter the circumstances. Depending on the individual artists, deposits can be used towards rescheduled appointments. Creating your appointment is more than tattooing, artists are responsible for administrative work & creating.

  • Each artist has their own process of when and how they complete a design. They also have the option to show you the design before the appointment or the day of. When you send your deposit they begin their process and have put work towards your appointment. They are not obligated to give you your deposit back if it is unfinished. Please see (Deposits & Payment: “Do I get my deposit back if I do not like the design for my tattoo?” for more info).

  • Let your artist know or give the shop a call!

  • No you do not, however you must complete our mandatory COVID screening and wear a mask at all times in our shop. COVID guidelines are subject to change informed by Ontario Health Guidelines.

ACCESSIBILITY/GENERAL INQUIRIES

  • Yes. We have a side door that is level with the ground and accessible by wheelchair. The sidewalk also has a spot directly in front of the shop that is accessible to wheel transit.

  • Let your artist know ahead of time what accommodations you’d need so they can specifically provide you with care.

    Please indicate what accommodations you need in the consultation form while booking your appointment.

  • The shop is directly across from TD bank in Galleria Mall. On the north west side of Dufferin and Dupont and a 2 min walk west.

  • There is parking in the Galleria Mall parking lot, or if you are lucky infront of the shop except for the hours between 4pm-6pm.

  • Yes! We have a lounge area where you are able to have a snack or refreshment.
